Farrakh Khan is an Associate in the Banking & Finance team at Addleshaw Goddard in Dubai, advising financial institutions, borrowers, sponsors and investors on domestic and cross-border financing transactions across the UAE and wider Middle East. He has experience across acquisition finance, real estate finance, Islamic finance and corporate lending. Having trained in the UK before qualifying in Dubai, he advises on both English law and regional market practice, with a focus on complex multi-jurisdictional and Sharia-compliant financings.

Examples of transactions worked on include:

  • Acted for Emirates NBD Capital Limited as mandated lead arranger and sole bookrunner on AED 2.7 billion term and AED 1.5 billion accordion facilities provided to Damac Property Dubai LLC, structured on both Islamic and conventional bases, to support a global data centre development and acquisition strategy.
  • Advised the mandated lead arrangers on Project Horizon, comprising USD 290 million acquisition facilities for the Alephya group to finance future school acquisitions following TA’s majority investment in 2024. This transaction was awarded High Yield Debt Transaction of the Year at the 2024 Bonds and Loans conference.
  • Advised a leading UAE lender on a USD 265 million syndicated term loan facility with complex multi-jurisdictional elements.
