Law Firm, Addleshaw Goddard continues to strengthen its GCC offering announcing the appointment of leading Banking & Finance specialist, Robin Hickman.

Joining as a Banking & Finance partner, Robin's practice will span across the UAE and Qatar and add further bench-strength to the firm's already strong Banking practices in both Qatar and Oman.

Previously Banking and Finance counsel and Qatar Head of Banking at Clifford Chance, Robin brings with him over nine years of Middle Eastern experience derived from acting for a number of large blue chip financial institutions on high-end complex transactions.

Ranked as a leading lawyer in both Legal 500 & Chambers and seen as the 'go to' banking lawyer for large financings in Qatar, Robin's expertise also spans the telecoms, real estate, leisure, renewables & non-renewables energy sectors.

Andrew Greaves, Head of GCC region stated: "Robin's hire will allow us to significantly bolster our Dubai & Qatar practices, as well as making a broader contribution to building our Regional Banking & Finance practice, which is a key part of our GCC strategy.

"Robin's reputation in the market is outstanding and his impressive credentials and knowledge of the financial market and community in the region will also allow us to present a compelling offering to new and existing clients. His hire is a further statement of our intent to deliver to clients the benefits of a fully integrated, high quality service across our office network in the GCC."

This is the latest investment by AG into its GCC offices, and follows the recent hires of James Law as a Managing Associate and Denis Moriarty who joined the Construction Litigation practice from Herbert Smith Freehills. Louise Vun also joined the firm in 2015 as a Real Estate Partner from Allen & Overy.
