Alex is an Associate in the Environment and Sustainability team, with experience advising clients across a range of sectors, including manufacturing, automotive, retail, and energy. His practice encompasses strategic support on Corporate and Real Estate transactions, regulatory compliance, and contentious matters. He regularly advises on environmental permitting, waste management, contaminated land liabilities, and broader ESG considerations. Alex supports clients in navigating complex legal and regulatory frameworks to achieve their environmental and sustainability objectives.

Experience

Alex's recent experience includes:

Advising on the environmental aspects of a $1 billion cross-border sale of an international construction chemicals business.
Acting for an oil condition monitoring business on the environmental aspects of an IPO prior to its admission onto the AIM.
Advising an EV manufacturer on self-reporting to the Environment Agency and Office for Product Safety and Standards following non-compliance with battery producer registration requirements.
Representing one of the UK’s leading service station operators on environmental considerations in the financing of approximately 50 fuelling stations.
Defending an automotive parts developer in a prosecution for breaching a noise abatement notice.
