Jemma is an Associate within the Construction and Engineering team in Doha, Qatar focusing on international construction disputes including advising international clients in the infrastructure, transport and energy sectors across the Middle East. Jemma's international experience includes advising a GCC state owned entity in respect of an ICC arbitration involving the termination of a main contractor's appointment in relation to the construction of a significant infrastructure project.

Jemma was previously part of the Addleshaw Goddard team in Manchester, England with her practice focusing on domestic and international construction disputes. Jemma's UK domestic experience spanned a wide range of clients and matters including commercial developments, PFI schemes and civil and engineering infrastructure works, also advising international clients whose contracts were subject to the law of England and Wales and the English Courts.

  • Advising a GCC state owned entity in respect of an ICC arbitration involving the termination of a main contractor's appointment in relation to the construction of a significant infrastructure project.  
  • Advising a UK hospital trust in respect of significant delays to the completion of a large acute hospital and subsequent termination of its 25-year contract following the liquidation of the main contractor. 
  • Advising an employer based in Saudi Arabia in respect of a claim for recovery of sums paid for incomplete works and rectification works against a UK Contractor.

  • Advising a GCC state owned entity in respect of an ICC arbitration involving the termination of a main contractor's appointment in relation to the construction of a significant infrastructure project, with a contract value exceeding USD 1 billion.
  • Advising a UK hospital trust in respect of significant delays to the completion of a large acute hospital and subsequent termination of its 25-year contract following the liquidation of the main contractor.
  • Advising an employer based in Saudi Arabia in respect of a claim for recovery of sums paid for incomplete works and rectification works against a UK Contractor.
