Jack Edwards is an Associate in the Commercial team, focusing on technology and outsourcing matters. He advises on the contracts and legal frameworks that support the digital economy.
His work includes software licensing, SaaS and cloud services, AI, data protection and intellectual property. He has experience advising a broad range of clients, including start-ups, multinational businesses, household brands and public sector bodies, on the structuring and negotiation of digital, data and technology contracts.
Jack combines legal training with technical understanding, including postgraduate study towards an MSc in Computer Science, enabling him to provide commercially focused advice that reflects technical and operational realities.
He has a particular interest in software development contracts and the legal and commercial issues that arise in the development, licensing and deployment of software products and services.

Jack's recent experience includes acting for:
- a multinational supermarket, on a complex logistics/distribution hubs BPO, including a bespoke liability structure departing from standard RHA/UKWA terms;
- an international automotive client, drafting and negotiating an enterprise SaaS and managed services agreement to support the launch of a new commercial services offering;
- a multinational merchant, supporting the negotiation of a complex ITSM licence;
- a multinational retailer, on a payment processing and merchant services agreement;
- a public sector body, on the procurement and negotiation of a long-term, business-critical IT infrastructure contract.
