Danielle is an Associate in the Dsiputes team, based in the Manchester office and primarily focused on Finance Disputes. Danielle joined the Disputes team in 2015, and has extensive experience acting in both Finance and Commercial litigation matters in the County Court, High Court and Court of Appeal, both in terms of pursuing and defending claims. Danielle also has experience in international arbitration and public inquiry work.
Danielle's experience includes:
- Acting for the joint administrators of Arena Television Limited in a claim arising out of high-profile and significant fraud
- Recoveries action arising from breach of a finance facility agreement involving vehicles sold out of trust to an alleged "innocent" purchaser pursuant to s27 Hire Purchase Act 1964
- Large scale debt recovery work for major financial institutions and commercial clients
- Acting for a property finance lender in a dispute relating to the appointment of administrators in the High Court, and the related permission to appeal application in the Court of Appeal
- Acting for a West-African energy company in a multi-million dollar dispute relating to supply issues and non-payment of invoices under a supply contract
- Acting for Co-operative Insurance Group Limited in a claim against IBM (UK) Limited for substantial wasted expenditure arising out of a failed IT transformation programme, both in the Technology and Construction Court and the subsequent appeal in the Court of Appeal
- Acting for several families in the Manchester Arena Public Inquiry
- Business protection matters, including securing undertakings, obtaining urgent injunctive relief, and pursuing claims for damages/loss of profits
- Acting on a number of major arbitrations, including:
- for a Sub-Saharan client in a multi-million dollar international arbitration
- for a company owned by a UK Government Department acting in arbitration concerning a multi-billion pound offshore windfarm
- for a cosmetics distributer in an international arbitration concerning distribution rights in the UK
