Nicola is an Associate in the Financial Regulation team at Addleshaw Goddard specialising in payments and consumer credit. Prior to joining Addleshaw Goddard, Nicola was a solicitor in the Global Loans team of an international law firm and most recently spent time in-house as Legal Counsel at a financial institution. 

  • Advising on the implementation of PSD2 with a particular focus on strong customer authentication and open banking 
  • Advising payment firms on their FCA authorisation and the regulatory treatment of payment products
  • Providing advice to firms on the technical aspects of the Consumer Credit Act 1974 including the form and content of documentation
  • Reviewing firms' digital customer journeys for regulated credit and hire products 
  • Providing advice on standard terms and conditions for current accounts and savings accounts 
  • Member of a number of industry working groups relating to Brexit and payments 
  • Advising banks on their regulated outsourcing and third party supplier arrangements
