Nawaf Al-Mutairi is an Associate in the Infrastructure and Energy Projects team in Riyadh. He completed his LLB at Prince Sultan University in KSA, in which he participated in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot competition. 

Prior to joining the firm, he trained at the Law Firm of Salah Al-Hejailan in association with Freshfields, Tamasuk Holding Company and KPMG. Thus, holding experience in several fields, including dispute resolution, infrastructure projects, and corporate law. At AG, Nawaf is advising clients from the public sector and the private sector in all matters relating to privatization and projects.

Experience
  • Currently advising a government entity on a long-term Operation and Maintenance Agreement for sewage treatment plants across the Kingdom.
  • Currently advising a government entity on high-level roadside services and intercity network PPP projects concerning all service stations and gas stations in the Kingdom.
  • Currently advising a government entity on the procurement of an environmental monitoring and environmental emergency response PPP project.
  • Currently advising an African government entity regarding the existing legal, regulatory and institutional framework governing PPP Logistics and in respect of a Logistics Development Project on the Indode Station Port.
  • Currently advising a government entity in relation to monitoring of driving schools and driver tests management.
  • Advised a government entity on the procurement of a PPP project to design, build, finance, operate and maintain construction villages on urban areas and planned cities.
  • Advised foreign companies on tort, civil, administrative, commercial, and international matters under the Saudi Law.
  • Advised a water company on an M&A transaction relating to the acquisition of the entire issued share capital of another company along with 50% of its shares in an operation and maintenance company.
  • Advised an international bank on different compliance and regulatory matters pertaining to the liquidation of its Saudi subsidiary.
  • Advised a technology solutions & services company regarding change in ownership percentage and termination of partnership.
