International disputes specialist Neville Byford joins Addleshaw Goddard to further strengthen the team’s cross-border capabilities

Addleshaw Goddard (AG) has appointed leading disputes lawyer Neville Byford as a Partner in London, further strengthening its capabilities in complex cross-border litigation and arbitration.

Neville joins from RPC, bringing nearly four decades’ experience advising on high-value commercial litigation, arbitration, civil fraud and trust disputes. He has acted for major corporates and high-net-worth individuals across sectors, including advanced manufacturing, energy, financial services, healthcare and sport.

With a strong track record in cross-border disputes, including extensive experience of litigation and arbitration, Neville’s appointment enhances the firm’s ability to support clients navigating complex multi-jurisdictional matters, including transatlantic risk.

Since May last year, AG has welcomed 50 lateral partner hires across the firm, including 14 in its Disputes practice. Neville’s appointment takes total partner headcount to 480 across 21 offices. The Disputes Group now comprises 98 partners globally and 388 lawyers overall, reflecting continued strategic investment in this core practice.
