Addleshaw Goddard moves into new Glasgow home
International law firm Addleshaw Goddard has completed its move to a landmark building in the heart of Glasgow city centre as it targets continued growth in Scotland.
The firm has taken the entire fourth floor at 151-155 St Vincent Street, almost doubling its space in the city to over 11,500 sq ft. The new home, which has been completely refitted in recent months, has created an office which reflects the firm's vision, brand and standing in the market. The firm was formerly located on West Regent Street.
Addleshaw Goddard, which has a global footprint of 21 offices turning over £550.9 million in the most recent financial year, has reported eight consecutive years of double-digit growth in Scotland. It currently has more than 300 people in Scotland across offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen.
The firm will also be moving office in Edinburgh later this year, taking almost 30,000 sq ft in at 24 St Andrew Square, one of the most prestigious areas of the New Town.
Addleshaw Goddard has increased its Scottish headcount by 65% since its merger with HBJ in 2017, with recent new Partner hires including Fiona Cameron (Finance) and Martin Devine (Real Estate) in Glasgow, Anya Duncan (Employment) in Aberdeen and Sophia Harrison (Restructuring) in Edinburgh.
It also recently unveiled its new HQ in the heart of the City of London at 41 Lothbury, opposite the Bank of England in London’s Square Mile.
Domestic growth has come against a backdrop of rapid international expansion, with nine new offices in the past four years: Frankfurt, Munich, Berlin, Luxembourg, Dublin, Madrid, Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi and Warsaw.
