Addleshaw Goddard continues strategic growth of Private Funds team with the appointment of Steven Ward

Addleshaw Goddard has further strengthened its private funds offering with the appointment of Steven Ward as a partner in its Private Funds team.

Steven joins from Squire Patton Boggs, where he led the European investment funds team, having built a strong reputation advising on the establishment, structuring and operation of private funds across a broad range of asset classes, including private equity, infrastructure, venture capital, real estate and private credit. He brings extensive experience acting for fund sponsors, institutional investors and asset managers on fund formation, fund investments and co-investment arrangements, both domestically and internationally.

His arrival compliments the continued expansion of Addleshaw Goddard's international Private Funds capability, which has seen significant investment in recent years, most lately with the addition of funds expert Harrison Dans in Luxembourg and the promotion of Maria de Orueta to partner in the firm's investment fund team in Spain.

The team also benefits from enhanced funds regulatory expertise through the recent additions of partner Paul Anderson and legal director Alice D'Mello in London, further bolstering Addleshaw Goddard’s full-service private funds proposition.

Steven Ward said: "I am excited to be joining Addleshaw Goddard at a time of significant growth for its private funds practice and the firm more broadly. The firm’s strong international platform and breadth of expertise across fund structuring, regulation and tax provides a compelling proposition for clients navigating an increasingly complex investment landscape."

Daniel Woolston, Head of Real Estate Investments and Private Funds, added:

Addleshaw Goddard’s private funds group continues to advise some of the most sophisticated fund managers, independent sponsors investors and asset managers on fund formation, regulatory matters, fund finance and investor representation matters across multiple asset classes globally.
