Addleshaw Goddard's Manchester Corporate team has advised CCL Industries Inc, a world leader in specialty packaging, on its conditional agreement to acquire the Innovia Group, at an enterprise value of $1.13billion Canadian Dollars.


Innovia, which specialises in high performance films for label, packaging and security applications, is headquartered in Wigton, Cumbria and has film extraction, coating and metalising facilities in the UK, Belgium and Australia as well as high security, specialised polymer banknote operations in the UK, Australia and Mexico.

Corporate Partners Richard Lee and Shelley McGivern led the Addleshaw Goddard team and were assisted by Tina Wong and Joanne Cooper. The team were also supported by the firm's tax, anti-trust, commercial, employment, pensions and banking teams.
