Addleshaw Goddard's Leeds Corporate team has been crowned Legal Team of the Year at the Rainmaker Awards, hosted by TheBuisnessdesk.com.

The win follows the success of the Manchester corporate team who were also named Legal Team of the Year back in June.

The wins cement the firm's position as the number one corporate team in both cities and showcases the team's impressive credentials.

Both team's continue to advise on high profile deals including; advising on the sale of Shepherd Homes business to Linden, the £25.1m sale of Daniel Thwaites plc brewing division to Marstons, advising LDC on its £207million buyout of SSP Worldwide, advising on the Haversham Holdings £1.17 billion purchase of British Car Auctions, Peel's joint venture with Legal and General at MediaCityUK, LivingBridge's investment in Sykes Cottages and advising Bruntwood on its acquisition of the former BBC site.

Roger Hart, Manchester Corporate partner said: "It's great to be acknowledged in this way. Our Manchester team worked on most of the region's top deals last year. We're privileged to have the region's best companies as clients, and we're already seeing last year's heavy workflow carry through to this year."

Garry Elliott, Leeds Corporate partner stated; "This win is testament to our position in the Leeds market. Our team continues to advise the region's top businesses on the region's best deals. We've had an amazing start to 2015 and our pipeline leaves us confident of continuing that for the remainder of the year."
