Your China experts locally and on the ground
China is the world's most populous nation and largest economy. Despite the fact that levels of growth have decreased from their peak, China still remains one of world's fastest growing nations. Whilst levels of inbound investment have decreased, the volume of investment still remains very significant.
China has also become one of the world's biggest investors, with levels of Chinese outbound activity increasing year on year, and hitting record highs in the first quarter of 2016.
Our China Business Group acts for foreign companies doing business in China and Chinese companies doing business globally. Our dedicated London-based China desk and our Hong Kong office lead the group. However, the China Business Group has members located in all our offices, who collectively represent significant experience of acting for and against Chinese organisations. The majority of our Hong Kong office speak Putonghua (including local dialects) and read and write Chinese and we also have native Chinese speakers in our UK offices.
Our China Business Group has the required knowledge and skills to help our clients identify business opportunities and navigate the risks associated with doing business in China and globally. Our team has in-depth knowledge of China's political, social, cultural and economic environment.
