New Thresholds for Public Procurement
On 1 January 2020, new thresholds will be in force for public procurements conducted under the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, the Concession Contracts Regulations 2016, the Utilities Contracts Regulations 2016 (and the equivalents in Scotland) as well as the Defence and Security Public Contracts Regulations 2011.
The new thresholds are set out in the table below.
When the UK leaves the EU, responsibility for reviewing the UK thresholds (every two years) will pass from the EU Commission to the Cabinet Office (in England, Wales and Northern Ireland) and the Scottish Ministers (in Scotland), under Brexit amendment regulations.
