Addleshaw Goddard has been named in The Times Top 50 Employers for Women 2018 for the 11th time since its launch in 2006. The Times Top 50 Employers for Women is published in partnership with Business in the Community, the Prince’s Responsible Business Network, as part of the charity’s Responsible Business Week.

The alphabetical and unranked list celebrates UK employers that are building gender equality into their business strategy and have committed to creating inclusive workplace cultures and women’s progression at work. The listing involves a comprehensive submission process managed by the gender equality campaign of Business in the Community.

Addleshaw Goddard has consistently featured in the list thanks to its selection of unique female development initiatives, created to support women across the firm and push gender diversity. These include its Returner Programme, which enables women who have been out of the legal profession to re-enter, and its Flourish female lawyer development programme which supports female progression to senior positions.

Niki Lawson, HR Director at Addleshaw Goddard, comments: "Gender equality continues to remain a key area of focus for us and we are immensely proud of our various female development programmes and initiatives that offer support and empowerment to women throughout the firm. We are therefore delighted to have been included in the Times Top 50 Employers for Women 2018 list."

Chloe Chambraud, Gender Equality Director, Business in the Community, said: “Well done to Addleshaw Goddard on being named in The Times Top 50 Employers for Women 2018 – the process was highly competitive so they should be very proud of their success. Their efforts are enabling women and men to contribute equally to society, and I hope other organisations will learn from their example.”

The list has been published in a supplement in the Times, which also features an interview with Niki Lawson and further details on Addleshaw Goddard's female development initiatives.
