Expertise

Eoin is a Managing Associate on the Construction & Engineering team. He advises a wide range of construction stakeholders on both non-contentious and contentious matters across large private and public sector projects in Ireland. His expertise spans residential, mixed-use developments, and other complex construction projects.

Eoin has extensive experience in preparing suites of template contract documents, with a particular focus on negotiating terms of private sector professional appointments for a variety of design consultants, including those engaged in residential and mixed-use schemes. He also advises consultants appointed to carry out statutory roles under the Building Control Regulations and Construction Regulations.

In addition to private sector work, Eoin advises on contractual documentation for public sector projects, providing guidance on issues relevant to the public sector standard contract forms and ancillary documents. His expertise includes drafting and negotiating collateral warranties, letters of reliance, and statutory compliance documentation such as interim and final project conformity statements and certificates of compliance.

Eoin’s experience in residential and mixed-use developments includes advising developers, funders, consultants and contractors on the negotiation and drafting of bespoke construction contracts, development agreements, and professional appointments. He also supports clients in managing risks and resolving disputes arising during the lifecycle of these projects.
