Alexander is a Managing Associate with extensive experience in commercial real estate transactions across Scotland, England, and Wales. He has developed a particular specialism in advising on the real estate aspects of renewable energy developments, making him a trusted advisor in this rapidly evolving sector. 

Alexander has supported developers on a wide range of projects—including wind farms, solar installations, and battery storage facilities— and brings a deep understanding of the commercial realities faced by project developers and landowners. From securing land options and negotiating lease drawdowns to advising on financing arrangements and project lifetime extensions, Alexander provides results-driven advice at every stage of the development lifecycle.

Experience
  • Advising on the real estate aspects of portfolio of Scottish BESS projects for battery storage developer. Recently advised on a portfolio disposal of 3 BESS projects in Scotland and England for circa £157M.
  • Acted for a developer in connection with securing land rights for a circa 149 acre solar development in Scotland with multiple landowners. Also involved in the subsequent variation of the option agreements to include co-located battery storage. 
  • Advised on the real estate aspects of the corporate sale of a leading renewable energy developer with multiple operational windfarms in the UK.
  •  Advised a developer in connection with multiple proposed battery storage developments throughout England including review of title and negotiation of option and lease agreements.
  •  Acted for a developer negotiating the option and lease for a co-located wind farm and battery storage with up to 50MW generation capacity.
