Expertise

Josh advises a range of clients across various sectors on contentious and non-contentious employment law matters. 

He has particular experience advising on employment litigation, and has acted for clients in the Employment Tribunal, Employment Appeal Tribunal, High Court and Court of Appeal, with a focus on discrimination and harassment, whistleblowing detriment, unfair dismissal and “worker status” litigation. Josh also regularly advises clients who are undertaking internal investigations and disciplinary and grievance procedures.

Josh’s transactional experience includes advising on large-scale redundancy, restructuring and insolvency exercises, and supporting clients with the employment implications of outsourcings and mergers and acquisitions. 

Josh frequently advises employers on day-to-day HR matters, and in particular the drafting of employment contracts and policies and negotiating complex settlement agreements for senior individuals.
