Philippa is a Partner in the banking and finance team, specialising in receivables financing and asset based lending. She heads up the ABL offering in Yorkshire and is one of only a few specialist ABL lawyers in the UK outside of London. 

Philippa advises the ABL and invoice finance teams within the main clearing banks, challenger banks, specialist asset-based lending financiers, and also regularly acts for corporate borrowers. She acts on a range of financing transactions, including bilateral, syndicated and cross border deals.  Philippa has particular expertise in relation to receivables financing structures, asset based lending facilities, non-recourse structures and selective receivables products.

Recent experience includes:-

• advising HSBC Invoice Finance in relation to an eight figure funding package for Buckhurst Plant Hire
• acting for the VJ Technology Group on their refinancing of ABL facilities with Arbuthnot
• advising Lloyds Bank on £30m of ABL and trade finance facilities for a Yorkshire manufacturer
• acting for Barclays Bank in relation to a £65m asset based lending facility for Kingsland Drinks
• advising Lloyds Bank Commercial Finance on the rewriting of their factoring and invoice finance documentation suite
• advising Cooper Turner Beck on their £88m ABL and cash flow facilities provided by BZ
