Expertise

William Heywood is a managing associate in our Finance team based in London.

William focuses on real estate finance, acting for lenders and borrowers on asset classes including logistics warehouses, data centres, offices, hotels, Build to Rent, Private Rented Sector and Purpose Built Student Accommodation in the UK and throughout Europe. He has experience on a range of finance structures, covering acquisition/investment financing, development financing, senior/mezzanine, capital markets transactions, refinancings, landbanking, repo financing, loan sales and syndications.

William also has experience in financing transactions covering project finance and asset finance.

Prior to joining Addleshaw Goddard, William worked at a US law firm and before that trained at the London and Tokyo offices of a Magic Circle law firm.

acting for a fund on the development financing of a portfolio of single-family BTR sites across England
acting for a challenger bank on the financing and restructuring of an office building in the City of London
acting for the borrower on the bridge financing of a combined residential and retail building in Chelsea, London
acting for the borrower on the refinancing of an office building in Manchester, UK
acting for an African bank on the acquisition financing of a BTR building in Berkshire, UK
