Expertise

William Heywood is an associate in our Finance team based in London.

William focuses on real estate finance, acting for lenders and borrowers on asset classes including logistics warehouses, data centres, offices, hotels, Build to Rent, Private Rented Sector and Purpose Built Student Accommodation in the UK and throughout Europe. He has experience on a range of finance structures, covering acquisition/investment financing, development financing, senior/mezzanine, capital markets transactions, refinancings, landbanking, repo financing, loan sales and syndications.

William also has experience in financing transactions covering project finance and asset finance.

Prior to joining Addleshaw Goddard, William worked at a US law firm and before that trained at the London and Tokyo offices of a Magic Circle law firm.

Experience

acting for an American investment bank on the development financing of a data centre in Dublin, Ireland;
acting for a America private equity debt fund on the investment financing of a shopping centre in Berlin, Germany;
acting for an African bank on the development financings of a PBSA building in Leeds, UK, an office building in London, UK and a logistics warehouse in Suffolk, UK;
acting for the sponsor on the financial restructuring of a service station business operating throughout the UK;
acting for the sponsor on the refinancing of an office and retail building in London, UK
