Katie is a Legal Director in the Social and Affordable Housing Group. Katie is an experienced corporate and governance lawyer and has over nine years’ experience advising clients in the housing sector on a wide range of governance and corporate matters. Katie’s experience includes advising clients on corporate group structures, constitutions, mergers and amalgamations, joint ventures, regulatory issues (including issues around non-compliance with the Regulator of Social Housing’s Regulatory Standards). Katie has also provided training to the boards and senior executive teams on directors and board members’ duties, the Regulator of Social Housing’s regulatory regime and the establishment of joint ventures.

Katie’s clients include a mixture of housebuilders, housing associations and charities and examples of the type of work Katie advises on includes:
- Acting on the corporate and governance aspects of the Amplius merger;
- Acting for Abri on the corporate aspects of its joint venture with Vistry to redevelop the former Ford airfield site and create 1400 new homes.
- Acting for Karbon Homes and Leazes Homes Limited on the integration of Leazes Homes into the Karbon Group.
- Advising The Riverside Group on their regeneration joint venture with Mount Anvil at Tiller Road.
- Acting for Ongo on its group reorganisation (including the conversion of the non-asset holding parent from a company to a community benefit society and the subsequent amalgamation into a single entity).
