Yvette is an Associate in Addleshaw Goddard, Singapore. She is experienced in energy, construction and international arbitration.

She has acted in both Singapore litigation proceedings and complex multi-jurisdictional international arbitrations, involving parties from Singapore, the United States of America, India, Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates, Japan and Mexico.  Her experience includes high value cross border disputes on matters relating to design, construction, offshore services, delays, variations, termination disputes and recovery of losses.

Experience

Yvette's experience includes:

  • Acting for a Singapore company which is a leading provider of oil and gas solutions in an SIAC arbitration involving a dispute surrounding detailed design engineering of a FPSO for an oil field in Mexico with claims in excess of SGD 10 million.
  • Acting for and advising a Singapore company which is a major offshore contractor in a dispute involving a HVDC Offshore Converter Platform for a Wind Farm project in the North Sea (subject to the laws of England & Wales / ICC arbitration).
  • Advising a Singapore renewable energy developer on the negotiation of key terms in the project contract for a planned wind farm project near East Yorkshire based on the FIDIC Yellow Book (2017).
  • Advising a major Asia-based contractor on a dispute which arose in relation to the project finance arrangements for a FPSO project valued at over US$45 million, including on issues regarding shareholder subordinated loans.
  • Advising an Asia-based leading contractor on an amended BIMCO contract (contract value in excess of €17 million) for the recycling of a FPSO which was deployed in Brazil.
  • Advising a major regional contractor on exit / buyout strategies under a joint-venture agreement where the main asset was a pipe lay vessel valued at over U$72 million.
