- Acting for a leading provider of offshore oil and gas solutions in a SIAC arbitration involving a dispute surrounding detailed design engineering of an FPSO for an oil field in Mexico with claims in excess of SGD 10 million.
- Acting in an ICC arbitration for a Malaysian commodities manufacturer against a Japanese Fortune 500 energy company involving a termination dispute over an alleged force majeure event in Japan, with claims in excess of USD 7 million.
- Acting for a multinational payment platform before the High Court of Singapore in a dispute over liquidated damages clauses contained in standard user agreements and potentially fraudulent funds.
- Instructing foreign counsel in an administrative law action involving expropriation of assets following a write-down of bonds by a leading Swiss bank before the Swiss Federal Administrative court.
- Assisting at first instance and on appeal in a dispute over a distribution agreement before the Singapore courts (including the Appellate Division of the High Court of Singapore). The claims were in excess of €40 million and involved complex issues such as whether parties had a right of termination and breach of contract resulting in a loss of profits. On appeal, the client's liability was reduced to nominal damages.
- Assisting in matter before the Singapore Court of Appeal to successfully set aside part of a €40 million ICC award on the basis that an arbitrary decision had been made.
