Rachel is a Managing Associate in the Finance Team, and has a broad range of experience acting on local and cross-border transactions, as lead adviser on English law and Scots law matters. Rachel acts for a variety of lenders, sponsors and borrowers, with a focus on leveraged finance and general corporate lending, healthcare finance and real estate finance transactions.

Recent examples include:

• ongoing advice to Clydesdale Bank pc (trading as Virgin Money) on the provision of several development loan facilities and investment facilities, in relation to the development and operation of multiple care home portfolios by one of the largest care home developers in the UK
• acting for EV design and infrastructure business, Envevo, on the debt aspects of TowerBrook Capital Partners' investment
• acting for a syndicate of lenders in relation to the refinance of facilities to a Scottish headquartered market-leading facilities engineering business
• advising James Donaldson Group on the financing of its acquisition of Donaldson Timber Systems
• advising an overseas property investment fund on the financing of low carbon developments of luxury office space in London and Glasgow
• advising OakNorth Bank plc on the provision of £34.9m facilities to Kings Crescent Homes in connection with a complex 254 unit Build to Rent scheme
• advising Clydesdale Bank plc (trading as Virgin Money) in connection with a newbuild vessel financing using a Spanish tax leasing structure
