Maria has experience advising lenders and borrowers on a wide range of financing transactions, including real estate finance, leveraged finance, corporate debt, fund finance and asset-based lending. She also has experience in debt capital markets work such as CLOs and loan note listings. Prior to joining Addleshaw Goddard, she practiced at a leading offshore law firm in Jersey.

Maria's experience includes:
- advising Fletchers Solicitors with the refinancing the acquisition of its Group and various add-on acquisitions by the sponsor Sun Capital Partners.
- advising Joloda Hydraroll group with the financing of the acquisition of a Finland-based subsidiary.
- advising a consortium of lenders on the financing of Brookfield Infrastructure's £4 billion take private acquisition of Homeserve plc.
- advising African Frontier Capital (Mauritius) LLC on a receivables financing transaction to enable the provision of loans to people living off-grid in Kenya to buy solar home systems and other related solar products.
