Expertise
Yvette is the co-head of the Dispute Resolution practice in the Netherlands. She has over 30 years’ experience as practitioner, mostly in high-profile and complex (cross-border) matters. Yvette is also a trusted boardroom advisor, acts on appointment of the Enterprise Chamber and is a certified mediator.
She has a strong track record on (pre-)litigation and dispute resolution work, including directors’ duties and liability, corporate governance, securities’ litigation, commercial litigation, arbitration and class-actions, often with a cross-border element. Yvette has extensive experience in large corporate investigations, also at the intersection of insolvency law. She advises various listed companies, NGO’s and boards.

- Representing a listed Canadian company in an international multi-dollar trade dispute, seizing assets and litigating in summary proceedings with subsequent directors’ liability proceedings
- Representing a car manufacturer and group companies as lead Defence Counsel in Dutch class actions against multiple claim foundations relating to diesel emission
- Representing two Enterprise Chamber appointed officers in a long running and contentious saga involving Deus Ex Machina (D.E.M)
- Conducting investigations into Centric (prominent European IT company, servicing i.a. governments in vital operations) upon appointment by the Enterprise Chamber
- Representing and advising board members of Royal Imtech N.V. (infrastructure; large group of companies) in relation to extensive post bankruptcy claims / proceedings, including insurers, resolved by overall settlement

Yvette is on the advisory board of the IBA Litigation Committee and member of the NOvA/KNB committee on company law, advisor to the legislator. She is a member of Dutch Associations on Corporate Litigation (VCL), Procedural Law (NVvP) and Federation of Mediators (MfN).
