Michael has over 25 years' experience advising employers on all aspects of contentious and non-contentious employment matters in a variety of sectors including manufacturing, nuclear, retail, facilities management, BPO, construction and legal.
Michael has particular expertise in large scale restructurings and the application of TUPE in both acquisitions/sales and outsourcing. He regularly advise employers of both unionised and non-unionised workforces on a variety of collective issues including labour relations, industrial action, redundancy, variation to terms of employment (including pension entitlement) and applications for compulsory recognition. Michael also handles engagement and termination of employment for senior executives.
He also deal with employment litigation in both the Employment Tribunals and High Court, including applications for interim injunctive relief and is a regular speaker at a both public and internal training courses on a variety of employment topics.
