Admiral Taverns acquires Mountain Pub Company with Addleshaw Goddard support

International law firm Addleshaw Goddard has advised leading community pub operator Admiral Taverns on its acquisition of Mountain Pub Company from specialist investment manager Downing.

The transaction adds a portfolio of 10 community pubs across the north of England to Admiral Taverns' estate, further strengthening the group's presence in key regional markets and supporting its continued growth strategy. The portfolio includes well-established venues such as The Southport Coaster in Southport and The White Hart in Todmorden.

Following completion, the pubs will join Admiral Taverns' Proper Pubs division, which operates more than 240 community-focused pubs across England, Scotland and Wales. The acquisition reflects Admiral Taverns' ongoing investment in the UK community pub sector and its commitment to expanding its national footprint.
