Addleshaw Goddard expands ASEAN infrastructure expertise with strategic hire in Singapore

International law firm Addleshaw Goddard has made another strategic move to strengthen its Global Infrastructure practice in the ASEAN region with the appointment of Danna ER, a highly regarded construction and commercial disputes lawyer, as partner in its Singapore office.

Dual qualified in New York and Singapore, Danna specialises in high-value international arbitrations (SIAC, ICC, LCIA, ICDR), court proceedings, mediations and adjudications across Infrastructure, Energy, and Construction projects in Asia. Danna is a qualified adjudicator and is also experienced in advising on contract documentation to help clients mitigate disputes risks.

Danna joins Addleshaw Goddard from top-tier Singapore construction law firm Eldan Law. Prior to that, she practised in the construction and international arbitration teams at Pinsent Masons and Clyde & Co.

She has been consistently recognised as a leading lawyer in construction and commercial disputes by top legal directories, including Legal 500, Lexology Index (previously Who’s Who Legal), Benchmark Litigation, Asian Legal Business, Asialaw, Doyle’s Guide, Singapore Business Review and Lawyer Monthly.

Her arrival complements the appointment of construction and energy disputes partner Chanaka Kumarasinghe last June, bringing the number of partners in Addleshaw Goddard’s Singapore office to five.

Also set to lead the Korea Business Group, Danna's notable client base in South Korea aligns with the firm’s focus on re-establishing its presence in this key market.

Welcoming Danna, Chanaka Kumarasinghe, Head of the Singapore office at Addleshaw Goddard, said:

Jonathan Tattersall, Head of Asia at Addleshaw Goddard, added:
''Danna is someone we have admired for a long time and will help continue AG's growth in Singapore and Asia more broadly.  Her practice fits perfectly with AG's global Construction & Engineering Group becoming our 33rd partner in the Group. Her reputation in the Singapore market as a 'go to' and dynamic construction disputes lawyer is well deserved and a major asset for AG.''

Danna Er, Partner at Addleshaw Goddard, continued:
The firm has a stellar international reputation in construction, and the global construction practice operates as a cohesive team to deliver high-quality outcomes for clients. I am excited to join Addleshaw Goddard.''

Danna’s appointment comes at a time of continued growth for Addleshaw Goddard, following the opening of its 20th office in Warsaw through an agreement with Linklaters. The expansion is a key step in the firm’s AG2030 strategy, which targets £1 billion in revenue over the next five years.
