Following its success in the UK, AG Elevate is being introduced in France. The call for projects is open to high-potential start-ups looking to benefit from tailor-made legal support, mentoring and the firm’s international network.

AG Elevate is a fast-track 10-month programme for selected high growth businesses designed to accelerate them through the legal challenges that may arise as they grow.

Since 2017, the firm has been able to support start-ups operating in several sectors, including digital advertising, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and life sciences. Addleshaw Goddard relies on an international multidisciplinary team with recognised expertise in these sectors in order to better assist companies in their development.

AG Elevate support includes:

  • an assigned legal mentor who will meet with the start-up every month to identify legal challenges they are facing and any areas of concern;
  • 25 hours of free legal advice on any specialist areas;
  • access to AG’s legal seminars and networking events;
  • access to AG’s legal updates and other publications;
  • access to regular insight sessions hosted in collaboration with business mentors in our AG network

"Since its launch in 2017 in the UK, the AG Elevate programme has already had an impact on a lot of successful businesses. For French start-ups from the tech ecosystem, this initiative represents an opportunity to benefit from cutting-edge expertise from a team of lawyers who understand their issues related to innovation and strong growth management. They will receive support on IP/IT, corporate, employment, commercial, financing and ESG/compliance topics. In addition to this mentoring and legal advice, we will also invite the programme members into our French and international network. It’s a real commitment from our partners and the firm, which supports innovative solutions and bold entrepreneurs." Elisabeth Marrache (partner, IP/IT and data protection, programme coordinator) and Mathieu Taupin (partner, corporate M&A, programme coordinator)

Amiqus, an AG Elevate success story

Since its introduction in 2017, the programme has supported nearly 50 high-growth businesses. In 2019, Amiqus, based in Scotland, was one of nine companies selected to join AG Elevate.

Amiqus is a platform that helps businesses digitally manage new customers and staff’s onboarding and compliance. Amiqus was selected by an independent panel for 2019’s promotion and was able to gain valuable insight from an international law firm.

Since then, Amiqus has doubled its turnover and its client portfolio has grown to include some of the country's leading organisations and service professions. Amiqus is now one of the fastest growing financial technology companies in the UK.
