Following on closely from Sentry Doors Ltd's acquisition of E. & S. W. Knowles & Company Limited, leading law firm Addleshaw Goddard has advised on the refinancing of the enlarged group's senior debt facilities.

Sentry Doors, a Cairngorm Capital investment, is one of the UK's leading timber frame fire safety and security door manufacturers. The new facilities provided by OakNorth provide the Group with a funding package which will enable their continued growth.

The AG team advising on this transaction was led by Finance partner Euan Cluness, assisted by Peter Smartt, Thomas Wright, Hayley McMillan and Sarah Buzuk.

Euan said "Having recently acted for Sentry in relation to the Knowles acquisition, it was great for AG to be able to support them to refinance the enlarged group's facilities.Sentry have some really innovative and high quality fire safety solutions combined with a progressive and focused management team.  The funding package provided by OakNorth will support the group's growth aspirations and allow the swift integration of the Knowles group. The timeline to implement the transaction was aggressive but I'm delighted that AG delivered on that for our clients."

Stuart Whiteford, Sentry Director and Cairngorm Capital Investment Director, said: "We are pleased to have successfully completed a refinancing of Sentry Doors, following the recent Knowles acquisition. The new OakNorth debt facility will help position the business for future investment and growth. Addleshaw Goddard has worked closely with us since the original investment in Sentry Doors in early 2019 and the team did a tremendous job on this refinancing to deliver a successful outcome for the group."
