Addleshaw Goddard has further boosted its international Finance practice with the high-profile addition of London based Funds Finance partner Jeremy Cross.

Jeremy is an established and well-known specialist in the Funds Finance market. He joins from Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft where he set up the Funds Finance team in Europe. Prior to joining Cadwalader in 2016, he was European head of finance at SJ Berwin (later King Wood Mallesons).

Jeremy joins existing Addleshaw Goddard partners Angus Gill and Zoe Connor to create one of the very few three partner practices in the large and growing international Funds Finance market.

This is the latest in a series of high-profile hires by Addleshaw Goddard to strengthen its London and international Finance team. Recent hires include a Structured Finance team led by partner Rachel Kelly (London), partner Lequn Su (Joe) to head a China desk (London), strengthening our German finance offering with the addition of partner Nadine Bourgeois (based in Frankfurt), as well as the internal promotion of new partner Helen Hunter (London).

Addleshaw Goddard's Funds Finance team acts for some of the most active lenders in the market, as well as a number of global fund managers. It is known for the quality of its work on complex cross-border fund financings, and is one of the few firms acting on sustainability-linked lending in this space. The team forms part of a market-leading Banking & Finance practice in a full-service law firm, which includes a growing Investment Management Group (with April 2021 seeing the internal promotion to partner of investment funds lawyer Jan Grüter and the lateral hire of partner Daniel Woolston from Greenberg Traurig).

Amanda Gray, Divisional Managing Partner of Finance and Projects, said: "Jeremy needs no introduction to the market. He brings with him a huge wealth of experience which complements not just our Funds Finance team, but our wider international Finance practice. We are excited to welcome him.

"His recruitment is also testimony to how seriously we are taking our commitment to our clients in the Financial Services sector, as well as supporting them in driving change through a sustainability agenda. We are delighted to be advising clients currently on sustainability linked financings in the Social Housing, Real Estate, Corporate and Funds Finance sectors."
