Leading international law firm Addleshaw Goddard has become the first law firm to join of Pathways to Property, a UK-wide initiative which seeks to raise awareness of career opportunities within the real estate sector, particularly supporting people from less-advantaged backgrounds.

Led by the Reading Real Estate Foundation (RREF) at Henley Business School, University of Reading, the project was established as a response to the recognised lack of diversity in the industry. Through a successful outreach programme, the project exposes students from less advantaged and non-traditional backgrounds to opportunities within the property industry. In addition, the project works with teachers and career advisors to provide them with valuable information about the industry which is then passed on to their students.

Addleshaw Goddard is one of the UK's leading legal firms advising the real estate sector, acting for 90% of the country's top asset managers, 4 out of 10 of the largest REITs and 40% of all PropCo's listed in the FTSE100, including on mainstream real estate, corporate, structuring, tax, planning, construction, construction litigation, environment, real estate disputes and funding.

Other sponsors of the Pathways to Property initiative include British Land, Landsec, Savills UK and SEGRO.
