Addleshaw Goddard has recruited partner Rachel Orton into its London Real Estate team, in a move that builds upon its credentials in the Build to Rent (BTR) and Private Rented Sector (PRS), and focuses on the developing senior living asset class as investors become more active on an international scale.

Rachel, who was a partner at Squire Patton Boggs, has an established reputation in this field, having built a strong practice and client following over many years in the senior living space, acing for investors, developers and finance clients in the healthcare, retirement living and BTR sectors, advising on some of the most significant transactions in this space.

Adrian Collins, head of AG's Real Estate division comments: "Senior Living and healthcare within the BTR sector is expanding rapidly, with an ageing population and longer life expectancy driving the requirement. Senior living (which covers several types of specialist accommodation) is the next logical growth area for us as we have a market leading reputation in PRS and Student Accommodation. Rachel is a fantastic addition to the team not only as her clients provide existing synergies with our real estate offering, but she can draw on strong support from our market leading construction and infrastructure teams."
