AG embrace welcomes you to our South Asian Heritage Month celebrations

In celebration of South Asian Heritage Month, Addleshaw Goddard is delighted to invite you to an evening event at our London office on Tuesday 21st July, from 5:30pm to 8:30pm. This year’s theme, “Unity in Diversity”, recognises the rich cultural heritage and unique experiences that shape South Asian communities in the UK and beyond.

We’re excited to host an engaging conversation with guest speakers Mara Hafezi and Laks Mann MBE. Mara is Sport Co-Lead for the South Asian Heritage Trust, a PR professional, and a women’s health coach dedicated to empowering South Asian women in sport and wellbeing. Laks Mann MBE is a Creative Strategist, award-winning DEI expert, the UK’s first openly gay South Asian and Sikh police officer and Founder of Gaysians UK, recognised for his pioneering work in LGBTQ+ advocacy and community integration.

Alongside our speakers, you’ll have the opportunity to try your hand at the traditional art of Indian block printing led by Oorvi Desai, founder of Oorvi Desai London, who will guide you through the process and talk about the tradition using vibrant dyes and natural fibres helping you to create your own personalised piece and ask any questions.
