EXPERTISE

Marcin is an advocate trainee with experience in corporate, project and real estate finance. 

Marcin’s experience covers drafting and negotiating finance and security documents. Marcin prepares legal memorandums and opinions that provide essential guidance for financial transactions. Marcin is also responsible for supervising, collecting, and reviewing documentation related to conditions precedent and subsequent for loan disbursement. He has also participated in a number of due diligence projects.

Work highlights*

  • Advising Baltic Power, a group of commercial lenders, ECAs and multilateral financial institutions, on the development and US$5.2bn non-recourse green financing of the Baltic Power offshore wind farm, which is owned by ORLEN (51%) and Northland Power (49%). This is the first offshore wind farm to reach financial close in Poland. Deal of the Year by PFI, 2023.
  • Advising a consortium of lenders: advising on a PLN 886m landmark financing for CCC S.A. a major shoes retailer and producer.
  • Advising Banco Santander, S.A. and a syndicate of lenders in the context of the €800m facilities agreement entered into with AmRest in order to refinance existing indebtedness and finance general corporate purposes through term loan facilities and a RCF.
  • Advising Nrep, a leading Northern European real estate investor, on the financing of the acquisition of an 80% stake in 7R S.A., one of Poland’s largest logistics developers.
  • Advising Nrep, a leading Northern European real estate investor, on a PLN 229m loan provided by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development to finance two residential rental projects in Warsaw.
