Expertise
Sarah has a background in corporate and energy law, having worked both in private practice and in-house roles prior to joining the firm. She has acted for a range of clients in the energy sector, as well as developers and funds both in the UK and internationally. Her practice covers renewable energy and infrastructure projects, joint ventures, M&A transactions and regulatory advice, with a particular focus on renewables and the energy transition. Sarah also spent six months seconded to the Dubai office of Herbert Smith Freehills during her time there.

- Transmission Capital Partners as preferred bidder for the Rampion offshore transmission networks in the TR5 Ofgem auction round
- Advising a European fund in relation to its acquisition of three separate development stage biomass projects in Poland, including the relevant acquisition, shareholders' and development arrangements
- Negotiating and drafting long-term offtake agreements, farm-out agreements and tag/drag arrangements with co-venturers for a private-equity backed energy investor in its acquisition and project development of an interest in an offshore block in the Romanian Black Sea
- Advising on the acquisition of various development-stage energy-from-waste projects at brownfield sites across the UK
- Regulatory, feasibility and structuring advice in relation to private wire and power purchase agreements at a Scottish onshore windfarm
