Expertise
Gabrielle focuses her practice in intellectual property and digital law, including advisory work and litigation. She advises French and international companies in protecting their intangible assets, as well as in matters of cybersecurity, data protection and e-commerce.
Her litigation experience also covers trademarks, copyright and unfair competition before the French and European courts, particularly in the fashion, alcoholic beverages, retail and construction equipment sectors.
As a student, she studied International Business Law (Master 2) at the University of Aix-Marseille, whilst studying for the DJCE (Corporate Jurist Diploma), and Intellectual Property Law at the University of Strasbourg (CEIPI, the Centre for International Intellectual Property Studies). Gabrielle also studied for a year at the University College Dublin (UCD), Ireland.
Gabrielle is a guest lecturer in intellectual property law at the Panthéon-Assas University and a trainer at the Digital School of Paris. She also holds a DPO certification (Data Protection Officer).
- Experience
- Advising a company of the spirits sector on strategic trademark protection and enforcement, including negotiating coexistence agreements with competitors and handling contentious matters
- Representing a luxury clothing brand engaged in a dispute in France with a cloth designer over claims of copyright infringement concerning various models of a new collection, including strategic advice and drafting formal correspondence, leading in successfully challenging the opposing party's claims and asserting the client’s rights
- Supporting a leading provider of dubbing, subtitle captioning and post-production services for the broadcast and corporate communications industries in handling massive claims from artist performers about the use of their work for artificial intelligence (AI) training and reuse including data subject access requests under the GDPR
- Advising one of the "Big Five" English-language publishers on the IP aspects of their carve-out project in the manga domain, including due diligence and drafting transactional agreements for smooth execution and strategic alignment of the transaction
- Advising an investor for the acquisition of a solution that helps companies save time on their accounting and administrative management, including negotiation of warrantees on IP/IT aspects
- Assisting an en firm specialised in designing optronic solutions incorporating artificial intelligence, in defining a structured contractual framework for software commercialization under a license agreement.
