Tomas has advised financial institutions, banks, debt funds, lenders, sponsors and borrowers for over 30 years on the structuring, negotiation and documentation of debt financing facilities for leveraged acquisitions, project finance, holdco financings and other structured finance transactions across the capital stack, particularly in the transition finance space.

Tomas is recognised in Best Lawyers in the UK 2023, UK 2024 and UK 2025 editions for banking and finance. In Chambers & Partners Global, Tomas has been cited as having “impressed us with his negotiation capacity” and is the only foreign expert listed in Sweden for banking & finance. Tomas is qualified both as an advokat in Sweden and as a solicitor in England and Wales. He is fluent in Swedish, English and German and has working knowledge of Danish and Norwegian.

Prior to joining Addleshaw Goddard, Tomas spent 23 years at Norton Rose Fulbright in London and Frankfurt where he was a partner, headed up the finance team in Frankfurt, served on the Global Supervisory Board and headed up the Nordic Group, followed by almost three years at Baker Botts where he deepened his focus on digital infrastructure and the energy transition.
