Having previously worked in contract management on a multi-billion pound project in the energy infrastructure sector, Joel is now an associate at Addleshaw Goddard advising on matters across the energy, transport and social infrastructure teams, with a specialist focus on corporate and project finance matters. Joel also provides advice to organisations on joint ventures and power purchase agreements.

  • Acting for an international electronics manufacturer on the hive-up of their UK operations, as well as the drafting and negotiation of a high-value direct wire power purchase agreement.
  • Acting for an international coffee retailer in the renegotiation of corporate energy contracts relating to their UK franchised locations. 
  • Acting for a UK port in the strategic acquisition of a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) from an international investment fund. This SPV held valuable land which aligned with the client's energy and sustainability objectives.
