Addleshaw Goddard advises consortium of lenders on a landmark green debt financing of up to EUR 138 million for GreenWay’s CEE electric vehicle charging expansion
Addleshaw Goddard (AG) has advised a consortium of lenders comprising mBank S.A., ING Bank Śląski S.A., the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), and Crédit Mutuel Arkéa on a landmark green debt financing of up to EUR 138 million for GreenWay, a leading provider of electric vehicle charging solutions across Central and Eastern Europe (CEE).
This first-of-its-kind debt financing for a pure-play electric vehicle charging operator in CEE represents a historic milestone for the industry in the region. It reflects strong support for GreenWay and favourable long-term growth expectations for electromobility.
The financing package will enable GreenWay to expand its market-leading position in Poland and enhance its customer offering in Slovakia, Croatia, and the broader CEE region. To date, GreenWay has secured more than 250 million euro for the development of electromobility in CEE.
This is another deal in the electric vehicle sector on which AG’s international teams have advised clients across jurisdictions, reflecting our strong track record in supporting complex, cross-border projects in this dynamic sector.
