AG appoints second External Board Member
Addleshaw Goddard (AG), the international law firm, has appointed Caroline Firstbrook as an External Board Member.
Caroline is currently a Non-Executive Director of the Serious Fraud Office, as well as Solita, an IT services company owned by Apax Partners. She is an outgoing Non-Executive Director at Lloyds Register Group, where she has been on the board since 2015. These roles follow a long and successful executive career in Professional Services, most recently as Global Chief Operating Officer at Clifford Chance from 2015 – 2022, and previously as the Head of Accenture’s Strategy Practice for Europe, Latin America and Africa, and as a strategy consultant with Monitor Company.
Caroline becomes AG’s second External Board Member alongside Tony Cates, a former Vice Chair of KPMG UK.
Aster Crawshaw, Senior Partner at Addleshaw Goddard, comments:
“Whilst there is no regulatory requirement for law firms to have external board members, we value the independent oversight and insight that Caroline and Tony contribute to AG.
“Caroline not only brings a detailed understanding of the legal sector, she also offers a deep understanding of global growth, strategy, technology transformation and experience of a range of other industry sectors.”
Caroline Firstbrook commented: “It’s an exciting time to become an External Board Member in what is an increasingly dynamic and competitive legal sector. Addleshaw Goddard is an ambitious firm with a clear growth strategy and reputation for innovation and quality. I look forward to bringing my experience and external perspective to the Board discussions.”
