Addleshaw Goddard appoints Paul Feathers as Partner in pensions team

Addleshaw Goddard is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Feathers as a Partner in its London Pensions team. Paul will work alongside Rachel Uttley, bringing together two of the most highly regarded pension risk transfer (PRT) lawyers in the market to significantly enhance the firm’s pensions de-risking offering.  This follows the recent recruitment of Sarah Tate, a very experienced PRT lawyer, who has also joined the London Pensions team as a legal director and will work closely with Paul and Rachel.

Paul is the most experienced PRT lawyer in private practice, having specialised in advising insurers and trustees on risk transfer transactions for more than 15 years, including some of the market’s largest and most innovative deals.

The appointment underlines AG’s commitment to growing its London pensions practice and attracting leading talent and the firm’s continued focus on the insurance sector as part of its market-leading Financial Services offering. This latest recruitment cements the firm’s strategic objective of having the strength and depth across its pensions, reinsurance, investment and real assets teams to provide the highest quality full service offering to insurer clients.

Paul Feathers, partner at Addleshaw Goddard said:

“I’m delighted to have joined AG at an exciting time for the firm, having recently been crowned as UK Law Firm of the Year at the British Legal Awards 2025. I’m looking forward to contributing to the implementation of the firm’s strategy for continued growth, working closely with members of the excellent pensions team and others to develop the firm’s PRT practice and its wider offering to insurer clients.”

Addleshaw Goddard has offices across the UK (in London, Manchester, Leeds, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen it is ideally placed to serve the UK market), supported by offices in Ireland, France, Luxembourg, Germany, Poland and Spain and further supported by a comprehensive Middle East network spanning Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Oman.
