Want to win in HR? 2 sessions to help you score your HR goals

As the Euros 2021 bring football fever to Europe and we call half-time on 2021, our HR seminar will help you to get ahead and on course to achieve your HR goals in 2021 and beyond.

During two 40-minute webinars, we review recent and future employment law developments to keep you on top of the latest changes and ready for future challenges. Also, as the UK moves into an era of hybrid working, we look outside of the UK for new ideas and ways of working to help you stay on top of your game.

Session 1: Want to win in HR? 5 ways to tackle HR challenges in 2021

In our first session, we provide expert insight and practical guidance on the latest case law and changes to employment law developments in 2021 and look ahead to other proposed changes on the horizon.

Session 2:  New ways of working: Should employees have a Right to Disconnect?

The right to disconnect designates the right for employees to switch off and not to make themselves available in order to preserve their rest and vacation time. It has recently been recognized as a fundamental right by the European Parliament. After more than 12 months of remote work for many employees, this seems particularly topical. In our second session, we look at how different EU jurisdictions (France, Germany) have implemented this right and in particular:

  • what it entails;
  • risks related to not switching off; and
  • how HR can implement measures in the UK to enable such disconnect to avoid related risks, even if UK law does not yet require such provisions.
