Our culture is your story - Maxine Davies
I have felt recognised for what I bring to the firm at all stages of my career with AG, despite taking an unexpected turn along the way.
When I joined the firm as a three-year PQE litigation lawyer, I had my eyes set firmly on partnership. I was hugely ambitious, worked hard and was fortunate to have the support of the Partners in my team. They gave me countless opportunities with clients and colleagues to raise my profile, build relationships and demonstrate my ability to be a future leader. I was made a Partner in May 2012 when I was eight years PQE, something of which I was incredibly proud.
A few years later, when I shared that I did not want to fee earn any more, I was so grateful that senior people in the business were willing to chat with me about what else I might do.
I had been with AG for nine years and although I wanted a change of direction I really did not want to leave the firm. I was fortunate that AG recognised the value I could bring from my prior experience as a fee earner and Partner. We carved out a new role in TST, where I would help to promote the team across our business and support the firm's most junior fee earners.
