Our culture is your story - Dorine Reda

When I joined the firm in Paris, as a law firm that was relatively new to the French market, my objective was to contribute towards the creation of the Tax team here. It felt like an entrepreneurial project, which excited me; becoming a member of the firm represented a new step in my career.

I had previously worked in a firm with more than 200 people in a Paris office. With so many lawyers, it was difficult to know everyone, and sometimes we just passed each other on the stairs without even knowing what areas of law we specialised in. Often, we only had the opportunity to get to know each other when working on cases. At AG, the (Paris) Tax team started as two people, which gave me the opportunity to be more involved in all aspects of the transactions as well as in client relationships.

Furthermore, with our current size, good communication and collaboration is natural to us.

We organise monthly meetings where each team presents a few of their current cases, we then have an understanding of all transactions, and that allows us to work as a team to deliver the best possible advice to our clients, tailored to their needs.

By joining AG, I became part of a firm that shared my values.

When people ask me what I think of AG, I tell them it is a place where people matter, where you can handle cases in a good atmosphere.

I appreciate the opportunity and freedom that AG offers to think about your career and shape it in the direction that suits you best, especially as a woman, and I have really benefited from programmes such as Flourish.

Overall I feel AG is a strong international law firm that values the people within the business, and this is one of the reasons why I remain at the firm. I look forward to the next step in my adventure here.
