AG is an exciting firm to be a part of right now. While the firm continues to gain international momentum and expand, I am personally most excited about the upcoming London office move to 41 Lothbury - a prestigious location, housed in an exceptional building and perfectly situated for the firm in the heart of the City. It’s a bold statement of ambition for the future of AG, embodies the AG2030 vision and the building previews I have seen are truly impressive.

When I joined AG six years ago as a Paralegal in the TST in the Manchester office my focus was on seizing every opportunity to secure a training contract, with the hope of qualifying into a team. The support I received from the TST team and others across the firm was instrumental in helping me achieve my goals. I was fortunate enough to progress through the ranks, being promoted to Senior Paralegal, securing a training contract, qualifying as a solicitor, and now working as an Associate in the Real Estate Finance team.

Along the way, I’ve had the opportunity to work in our Manchester, London, and Dubai offices. 

What struck me is how consistent the culture is across all offices – the same collaborative and supportive environment exists wherever you are, making it easy to build strong networks and friendships. AG genuinely feels like home to me. 

Every time I wanted to make my next career step, people were clear about what I needed to achieve and how they would help me get there. This collaborative and supportive environment has been instrumental in my development.

Having started my journey in TST, I feel a deep sense of gratitude towards that team. I remain mindful of how I engage with the team in my daily interactions and am always looking for opportunities to give back. I strive to create chances for current team members to build their reputation within the firm, just as others did for me during my time. TST embodies the AG culture perfectly, with its familial atmosphere and collaborative working style. From my first day, the collegiate environment was evident and the team set a high standard for what a supportive workplace should look like.

While I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Manchester, I always aspired to become a City lawyer and I am grateful to AG for helping me achieve that goal. Moving to 41 Lothbury later this year will undoubtedly be an exciting milestone, but I always emphasise that it’s the people at AG who stand out the most. From Senior Partners to the newest TST members, everyone shares the same principles, values and approach to work.

That consistency of culture is what impresses me most about AG. 

Despite growing from a predominantly UK-focused practice to a London-headquartered firm with 21 offices worldwide, the firm’s collaborative spirit and sense of belonging remain unchanged. 

Since joining AG in 2019, my journey here has been remarkable and I look forward to contributing to the firm’s continued success for years to come.
