Lukas Riedinger

• Advising an institution of the European Union in appeal proceedings before the European Court of Justice in an energy and state aid dispute involving an EU Member State.
• Advising a credit institution on the civil law investigation and handling of complex fraud cases in the real estate lending business, and on the enforcement of the resulting claims before a German Regional Court.
• Defending a global infrastructure group against an antitrust damages claim brought by a foreign company before a German Regional Court in relation to participation in a cartel legally established by the European Commission.
• Advising shareholders of a German real estate investment group in a corporate law dispute before a German Regional Court in connection with an M&A transaction.
• Advising a US trading company in the infrastructure sector on pursuing damages claims against an EU-based company for impairing its business relationships with a German supplier.
• Advising and representing an energy supply company in the comprehensive investigation and pursuit of claims against a contractor in connection with the construction of a combined heat and power plant before an ICC arbitral tribunal.
• Advising and representing a European airline in defending against an injunction action based on allegedly unlawful business practices under EU law.
• Advising and representing a client in defending against an arbitration claim before the German Arbitration Institute (DIS) in the context of a post-M&A dispute.

Lukas studied law at the University of Passau and the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich. After finishing his studies with the First German State Exam in 2018 he served as a legal trainee at the Higher Regional Court of Munich. During his time as a student and as a legal trainee Lukas worked with several renowned international law firms. He completed his legal training with the Second German State Exam in November 2020.
